Lacrimal tract disease or pathology is based on constant tear formation, which may be due to an increase in tear production or, more often, poor drainage. The main causes are aging, the use of some drugs such as chronic eye drops, chemotherapy or radiation therapy in this area, congenital causes, trauma and burns in this area, as well as palpebral deformities
It has several symptoms:
- Blurred vision due to the tear film
- Wet eye feeling.
- Constant tearing, which increases in adverse conditions (wind, air conditioning, heating, etc.).
- Recurrent conjunctivitis (several times a year).
- • Infections under the eyes with fever, pain and inflammation
