Dr. Jose Manuel Felices Lago

Ophthalmologist since 1985. He also obtained the Aptitude Recognition to work as a Specialist in Ophthalmology in all the States of the European Community in 1994.

His professional career began with his clinical and surgical activities in the National Health System, where he has also held positions of responsibility.

Subsequently, he has dedicated himself solely to private medical-surgical activity and insurance companies. In order to stay up-to-date in his specialty, he has participated in courses, congresses and symposia for scientific updating and technological application in the intervention and treatment of ocular pathologies. In the same way, he has presented various communications in national conferences and presentations in training courses.

In the field of research, he was awarded the First Prize of the National Contest convened by the Southeast Ophthalmological Society for his work “Papillary Edema” in 1984 and there are numerous articles in which he presents topics of scientific interest and that have the recognition of the publication in prestigious journals such as the Acts of Medical Psychology, the Acts of the Portuguese-Spanish Society of Neurology and Psychiatry, the Acts of the Southeast Ophthalmological Society and the Archives of the Spanish Society of Ophthalmology and the French Society’s journal of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Felices Lago has demonstrated in all his activities, to be a great clinician and possessor of great surgical skills, which makes him a high-level eye surgeon, with a special dedication to the field of Cataract Surgery and novelties in Macular Retinal Treatments.
